Severe thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and evening could bring damaging winds, heavy rain, hail and isolated tornadoes.

WASHINGTON (7News) — A boy was rushed to the hospital on Monday following an apparent drowning at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) pool.

Authorities confirmed he was still alive when transported and CPR had been provided on scene.

A DC police report noted the boy was breathing on his own and responding before emergency personnel departed.

In a police report from UDC Police, the lifeguard had stepped away for a 30-minute lunch and returned to learn that a child had been found unresponsive in the swimming pool.
