Wicked: For Good, the sequel to last year’s hit musical fantasy film, is out in theaters November 21. Across Northern Virginia and Washington, DC, several bars, restaurants, and movie theaters are celebrating the highly anticipated release with themed events, food and drink specials, and more.
Head to King & Rye for a drag brunch that’s “filled with glitz, green, and gravity-defying performances.” Dress in theme and be ready for themed cocktails. King & Rye: 480 King St., Alexandria, $30 and $25 food and drink minimum

There’s a costume contest, and each guest gets a bag of goodies like a Grimmerie notebook, a bubble bath mixer and loofah, a wind-up butterfly to release during the film, and more. There will be sheet music and vocal recordings available about a week before the event so you can learn the parts in advance. McClellan’s retreat is offering a full menu of Wicked-themed cocktails all month long.
