The Chattanooga Airport has taken more legal action seeking to retain local appointment of board members.
The local airport earlier filed suit in Chancery Court after the Legislature passed a law moving the appointments to the state level.
"Additionally, the Chattanooga Airport owners have filed a lawsuit relating to the state of Tennessee’s changes that are to occur on July 1, 2026, according to Chapter 978. Specifically, the Chattanooga Airport Owners filed a lawsuit in Hamilton County Tennessee Chancery Court to halt the taking of the Chattanooga Airport because of the enactment of Chapter 978 by the State of Tennessee."
