Chattanooga Police Captain Heather Williams has graduated from the FBI National Academy, completing the program’s 296th session at the FBI Training Academy in Quantico, Virginia, the Chattanooga Police Department announced.

Captain Williams was among 254 law enforcement professionals selected for the prestigious 11-week program. The class included officers from 47 states, the District of Columbia, and 24 countries, as well as representatives from four military organizations and two civilian agencies. Fewer than one percent of law enforcement officers worldwide are accepted into the academy.

"Graduating from the FBI National Academy was both humbling and empowering, challenging me professionally and personally,” said Captain Williams. “I am deeply thankful for the opportunity and for the relationships built along the way, and I look forward to bringing those lessons back to Chattanooga to better support our officers, their families, and the community we serve."

The FBI National Academy is internationally recognized for its academic rigor, focusing on advanced communication, leadership development, and physical fitness. Instruction is led by FBI Academy staff, special agents, and instructors with advanced academic credentials.

Since its founding in 1935, the FBI National Academy has graduated more than 56,000 law enforcement leaders worldwide. The program is held at the same Quantico facility where the FBI trains its new special agents and intelligence analysts.
