DC police investigating double shooting on Benning Road in Northeast

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — An investigation is underway in Northeast D.C. after two men were found shot late Friday night.

Details are limited; however, in a post on X just after 11:30 p.m., the Metropolitan Police Department said it was investigating a shooting in the 1700 block of Benning Road, Northeast.

Medics transported two injured men to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Both men were conscious and breathing, officers noted.

Police were looking for a male around 6 feet tall wearing a puffy coat, light-colored pants and white shoes in connection with the shooting.

DC News Now has reached out to MPD for more information, but has not yet heard back as of Saturday morning.
