Downed power lines shut down N. Quaker Lane in Alexandria, outages reported

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (7News) — Downed power lines have shut down all southbound traffic in the 1000 block of North Quaker Lane in Alexandria, Virginia.

According to the Alexandria Police Department, power outages have also been reported in the area.

Dominion Energy and Alexandria Transportation and Environmental Service crews are on the scene.

Police are asking drivers to avoid the area and use other routes.

Drivers should also treat dark traffic signals as four-way stops.
