It’s spring, and the pests have sprung as the fine folks at Yelp have shown us.
They put together a list of the most pest-filled cities in America, and one of those cities is in Illinois.
There are actually plenty of cities in America, too, because Yelp says pest control demand is up 34% nationwide, and I can attest to that as well.
We just had our “bug guy” out to the house to spray around the property to keep the creepy crawlies outdoors and not inside. Of course, that same day, I found an ant on the floor in the house.

Anyway, it appears it’s not just ants, but mosquitoes, wasps/hornets, and bees are getting the most requests from exterminators this time of year.
Wasps and hornets are the most requested, with the number up 212%. If you’ve ever had a run-in with a wasp nest, you immediately know why people call pest control.

Not much of a shock to see Chicago on the list, considering the Windy City is in the top ten for bed bugs and rat issues, so why not add mosquitoes, wasps, and bees to the mix?
