Amelia Snyder is an American writer and former Marine Corps officer based near Washington, DC. She currently works in the public sector on national defense issues. Amelia holds a bachelor’s degree in ecology from Washington University in St. Louis and a master’s degree in the same field from Indiana University, Bloomington. Her writing draws on a blend of operational military experience and a strong foundation in science and technology. She has published in the American Intelligence Journal, Marine Corps Gazette, and Oecologia, and is passionate about connecting military, academic, and analytical perspectives. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, board and video games, and advocating for evidence-based policymaking.
