FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (7News) — A man is locked up in Fairfax County after being on the run for more than a decade after a hit-and-run crash in Reston that put a woman in the hospital, according to police.

Enda Browne, 43, was arrested on June 26 at Dulles Airport, Fairfax County police said.

Investigators said Browne was driving a 2014 Ford Fusion in November 2014 when he hit a woman crossing Reston Parkway at Spectrum Center and drove off. The woman was taken to the hospital and survived.

Browne was arrested a short time later and hit with a charge of felony hit-and-run.

He was supposed to appear in court in June 2015, but never showed up, according to a news release. Investigators said Browne had fled the country.

Police did not say where Browne had been or how U.S. Marshals found out he would be at Dulles prior to his arrest.
