WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - The U.S. is set to resume attacks on Iran, according to President Donald Trump.
Since an Iranian drone took down an American Apache helicopter, the U.S. has responded with several retaliatory strikes. Now the President says the U.S. offensive will continue.
President Trump in the Oval Office said the U.S. is set to resume its attacks on Iran, “We hit them hard yesterday, and we’re going to hit them again hard today.”
Late Wednesday, US Central Command confirmed on social media that fresh strikes against Iran had begun.
The President also told Gray Media’s White House correspondent Jon Decker that he’d open to a finding a diplomatic solution to end the war, “And, I think they’re going to want to make a deal, but we’re going to find out.”
The President revealed that the U.S. has been able to transport more than 100 million barrels of oil through the Strait of Hormuz.
“But we’ve been taking out millions of barrels of oil, millions of barrels every night to get oil. But now I’m going to tell you, because they just figured it out. ”
The President on Wednesday wrote on social media, “Iran is all talk and no action,” adding, “They’ve taken too long to negotiate a deal that would have been great for them, now they will have to pay the price!!!”
Diplomatic talks to end the war have dragged on for weeks despite repeated comments by President Trump that a deal is imminent. As the war continues, the latest inflation report finds prices jumped an avereage 4.2%, fueled by rising energy prices.
