The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia has granted a preliminary injunction allowing construction at the Revolution Wind project to resume. The ruling relates to a suspension order issued on 22 December 2025 by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, part of the Department of the Interior.
The injunction permits the immediate restart of activities affected by the suspension while legal proceedings continue. The court case challenges directives issued by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management on 22 August 2025 and 22 December 2025.
Revolution Wind stated that construction work will resume as soon as possible. The project is jointly developed by Skyborn Renewables and Ørsted, each holding an equal share. The developers indicated they will continue engagement with the USA administration to seek a stable resolution.
