Rock/emo band to celebrate 3 anniversaries on new tour: ‘Very exciting’

A popular rock/emo band is going on tour to celebrate three anniversaries with fans.

Thursday announced its 2026 tour dates, marking 25 years since their 2001 breakout album “Full Collapse,” 20 years since 2006’s “A City By the Light Divided,” and 15 years since 2011’s “No Devolución.” Shows will feature an opening set with the Warped Tour alumni playing songs from the latter two albums, followed by a performance by Chris Conley of Saves the Day, and then another Thursday set highlighting the “best of” “Full Collapse” and other favorites.

“This is the one that you have been waiting for!” the band said in a statement. “There was no way that we couldn’t celebrate these occasions without something very special.”

The “Full City Devolución” tour begins in the spring and includes one Upstate New York stop on April 25 at Anthology in Rochester. The show will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for the Rochester concert are on sale for $40 (plus fees) at anthologylive.com. Attendees must be 12 or older; ages 12-16 will be admitted with a parent or legal guardian.

Thursday tickets for Rochester and other cities are also available on Vivid Seats and StubHub.

“We pride ourselves in the company that we keep and the bands that we tour with, but this time we wanted to challenge ourselves and do something that we have never done before by actually having Thursday open up for Thursday! A quarter of a century since 2001 and we are still doing new things. That is very exciting to us!” Thursday said in a statement. “The venues we have chosen for this tour are all ones that mean a great deal to us and occupy a special place in our hearts. To some we are saying goodbye to them forever and to some we are saying hello for the first time (as a band) but they carry sentimental value from our private lives. They are intimate and they are special and they won’t know what hit them by the time we are done...”

“We cannot wait to celebrate these special birthdays with you! Thanks for keeping the Thursday flag flying all these years everyone! 24 shows with 3 birthday cakes a night is a lot of partying so we need your help! Where we seeing you?”

Thursday, led by singer Geoff Rickly, is an alternative rock band from New Jersey known for its mix of emo, post-hardcore and screamo music. Popular songs include “Understanding in a Car Crash,” “Standing on the Edge of Summer,” “War All the Time” and “Counting 5-4-3-2-1.”
