FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — All lanes of Route 1 at Popkins Lane near Groveton are closed on Friday after another water main break, according to Fairfax County police.

Police reported the closure at 2 p.m., saying drivers should expect significant delays while crews make repairs.

This comes after a water main break happened in the same area on Tuesday, according to police.

Police have not said when the road is expected to reopen. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes in the meantime.
