One of the school's Year 5/6 classes led a Remembrance assembly this week that helped the school community to mark this significant occasion in a very memorable way.
Pupils Oscar (Year 2), Ava (Year 5) and Elliot (Year 6) lay the school wreath at Mynydd Isa War Memorial.
The staff and children have expressed their sincere gratitude to the Deeside Round Table for their dedication and hard work in supporting our school’s forest school.
Pupils Noah Stanners, Savannah Walker, Sophie Rimmer and Rayann Hossine enjoying the forest school.
Members of the Round Table helped to cut back parts of the woodland, clear the pathways, and tidy up the planters, making the area more welcoming for everyone.
The children at First Steps have been learning about Remembrance and the importance of thanking those who served.
As part of this, staff invited children from the local community to design and make their own poppies.
Each poppy has now been displayed on their garden fence, creating a beautiful 'Poppy Fence' to honour and remember all those who fought and gave so much.
