Subaru Recalls Nearly 70K SUVs For Moonroof Glass Hazard

Washington, DC-(Effingham Radio)- Subaru is recalling nearly 70-thousand vehicles for a defect that could cause the moonroof glass panels to detach. The recall includes nearly 70-thousand 2026 Subaru Forester and Forester Hybrid vehicles.

Federal safety regulators say some of the vehicles may have been manufactured with power moonroof assemblies in which the glass panel was improperly bonded to the sliding frame. Over time the bond could deteriorate, increasing the risk that the moonroof glass could separate from the vehicle while its being driven. The automaker said a detached glass panel could raise the risk of a crash or injury for other drivers.
