FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) – A teenage boy was arrested in connection with a deadly shooting in the Hutchison area, the Fairfax County Police Department announced Saturday.
Police said felony petitions have been obtained for charges of second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and shooting from a vehicle.
According to police, on Oct. 15 at 9:31 p.m., a community member alerted police to an unconscious man lying on the ground in the 13000 block of Parcher Avenue.
Officers arrived to find a juvenile male suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower body and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police transported the teen, whose identity has not been released, to the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center.
The incident remains under investigation, and police said it does not appear to be a random act.
