ALEXANDRIA, Va. (7News) — New details are emerging about a stolen car crash Monday that killed three teens and seriously hurt another on I-395 in Alexandria, Va.

Virginia State Police (VSP) said the driver of the car was a 16-year-old boy from Silver Spring, Md.

There were three other passengers in the car: a 17-year-old boy, a 16-year-old boy from Maryland and a 16-year-old girl from Virginia.

The 17-year-old died at the scene. Police have not said where he is from. The teen driver and other 16-year-old boy died at the hospital, and the girl remains in serious condition.

VSP said the teen driver did not have a valid driver's license.

The crash happened around 12:45 a.m. Monday after a trooper spotted a stolen car out of Prince George's County on Stevenson Road at South Walker Street in Alexandria.

The trooper attempted to stop the car, but officials said the driver refused to stop, leading to a pursuit. The chase continued onto Duke Street and then I-395 north. State Police said the stolen car reached speeds of approximately 90 miles per hour.

The chase lasted about two minutes before the teen driver lost control on the Shirlington Road exit ramp, ran off the right side of the ramp and crashed into a jersey wall.
