Thomas J. Carey, Jr.
February 5 1943 – October 1, 2025

Tom passed away peacefully after a long, courageous battle with cancer. During his illness he was lovingly supported by his family and friends from St. Francis DeSales Parish in Salisbury, MD. His faith brought him peace.

He was a graduate of St. Peter’s High School in Mansfield, Ohio and attended Ohio State University where he became a life long fan of the Buckeye’s football team. Tom successfully persuaded his three sons, and every generation to follow to become “bucknuts”! Infact, he enjoyed nothing more than a weekend of football with his boys! Tom was an executive with Xerox, in Washington, DC for a number of years before retiring to the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake.

Tom had a deep and abiding love for all his dogs. He spent many, many, happy days wandering nature’s landscape with his Labrador Retrievers and Beagles. His bond with them was ever present as they worked together to attain their common goal.

Tom is survived by his younger sister. His three sons and their spouses, his niece and nephews, his beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Mass celebrating his life will be said for Tom at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Delmar, Maryland on November 15th at 1:00P.M.
