CONSERVATIVE political commentator Tucker Carlson has clashed with a BBC host over the proscription of Palestine Action as he criticised the UK Government’s attempts to curb criticism of Israel.
Carlson, a former Fox News presenter and longtime supporter and ally of Donald Trump, claimed that Keir Starmer is incapable of making calls “about anything” when he was quizzed on the UK’s relationship with the US by Victoria Derbyshire on the BBC on Sunday.
Derbyshire, who had stepped in for Laura Kuenssberg on the broadcaster's flagship political show, got into a number of heated discussions with Carlson, mainly around the war in Iran.
The BBC host had asked Carson where he believed the UK Prime Minister had “made the right calls” regarding the US and Israel’s war on Iran, mentioning that Trump has been publicly critical of Starmer on a number of occasions in recent weeks.

“I don't think Keir Starmer makes any calls about anything,” Carson replied before adding that the Prime Minister is “every bit as enslaved as Donald Trump is”.
Carlson continued: “It is illegal. It is a crime for which you can be arrested in Britain right now, criticising Israel, if you say you're for Palestine action, you can be arrested.”
“So, in other words, it is not legal in Britain to criticise another country.”
Derbyshire then interjected saying, “that is not true,” to which Carlson then asked: “I'm sorry, what is not true about that?”
